SAVAGE GENTLEMEN

Savage Gentlemen is what happens when lifetimes of rock and roll finally converge.

Born in the clubs of New York City and sharpened in the heartland of Ohio, the band is anchored by longtime collaborators Ron Young and Rich Thomas, whose musical partnership began in the early ’80s when they co-founded the roots rock/rockabilly outfit The Kingpins. Cutting their teeth in legendary venues like CBGB’s, Mudd Club, Peppermint Lounge, and The Ritz, the two forged a bond rooted in grit, tone, and an unshakable devotion to rock and roll.

After their New York beginnings, Ron relocated to California, where the majority of his career took shape. As founder and frontman of Little Caesar, he signed with DGC Records under legendary A&R executive John Kalodner, was managed by Jimmy Iovine, and recorded two Geffen releases with producers Bob Rock and Howard Benson. Based in Los Angeles, Little Caesar toured with KISS, earned heavy MTV rotation, and became a defining presence in the late-’80s/early-’90s hard rock resurgence. Ron later joined Manic Eden alongside Adrian Vandenberg, Tommy Aldridge, and Rudy Sarzo. Today, he continues to front both Little Caesar and Cruzados, maintaining his standing as a California rock mainstay while bringing decades of stage-tested experience into Savage Gentlemen.

Savage Gentlemen isn’t a nostalgia act. It’s not a side project. It’s the result of decades of roads traveled — from CBGB’s to arena stages, from underground clubs to European tours, from raw punk beginnings to world-class studios.
